451 Today

Fahrenheit 451 the adaption.

I doubt people are going back to blogs, but with all that is going on, I thought I’d look back at the adaption of 451 I did over 10 years ago, and post my thoughts on…my blog. I’ll post links on what social media I still use, but will post most of the images on my blog.

Should I use Substack? Should I use my Patreon? Perhaps. But here I am for now as I start this once a week look back. What will this be? It will be a look back at how I created the visuals for the book mostly. Small snippets every week.

I kept most (but not all) of my thumbnails and roughs and I thought I’d look back and explain how it unfolded.

Next week I will start at the very beginning but this week I’m just posting the first pieces of paper I found in my old file

Page 5 of the Graphic Novel. Yes, I eventually created a small thumbnail of the whole page, but theses sketched you see were first thoughts about how various images would look on that page. I often draw single panels just to get all the ideas out of my head before pulling it together as a page. Also, I probably drew thumbnails for this page 4 or 5 times before arriving at the page you see here.
